Asus has unveiled a new Windows 8.1 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop called the Transformer Book T100, which starts at Php23,995 and runs on the latest Intel Atom ‘Bay Trail’ quad-core processor.
The device, which can transform from a laptop to a tablet in an instant, has a 10.1-inch screen and a bundled detachable keyboard dock. The tablet weighs 550 grams; in laptop mode, the T100 weighs 1.07 kilograms.
The T100 offers a battery life of 11 hours, thanks to the Atom Z3740’s 2-watt power consumption.
The lightweight keyboard dock features “precision-engineered” keys designed for comfortable extended use, plus a multi-touch touchpad with full Windows 8.1 gesture support.
Just 10.5mm thin in tablet mode, Transformer Book’s10.1-inch display has a 1366 x 768 resolution and features IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles with excellent daylight visibility. Capacitive multi-touch gives fine fingertip control in tablet mode, while exclusive Asus ‘Reading Mode’ technology adjusts the display automatically to make the screen easier to read for long periods.
The Transformer Book also features the latest USB 3.0, 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro SD slot (Up to 64GB) for optimal connectivity with other devices. For audio, the T100 features the Asus SonicMaster.
The Asus Transformer Book T100 is also bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote worth Php4,000. The T100 also includes a one year unlimited Asus Webstorage that is worth Php5,000.
The T100 is now available in the market for Php23,995 with 64GB internal storage in selected Asus authorized sellers.
Next-Generation Notebooks
Asus also announced several new notebooks.
The new N series is a multimedia notebook and the world’s first notebook with a Quad-Speaker Array and Subwoofer. It is powered by a 4th-generation Intel Core processors and features NVIDIA GeForce graphics.
The notebook retails for Php59,995.
The G750, a gaming notebook, is based on the 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor. It features full HD graphics in ultra settings, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M series graphics processors with 4GB of GDDR5 video memory for Php99,995.
Designed for everyday multitasking and entertainment for smart and practical users, the Asus X550 is based on the 4th-generation Intel Core processor and retails for Php42,995.
For those who prefer touch, the Vivobook F series features a multi-touch display and is available for Php37,995.
