IT manufacturer Acer Philippines Inc. has announced the launching of the Acer Iconia W3, its newest innovation that is said to converge productivity and mobility perfectly. This eight-inch computing device that runs the latest Windows 8 operating system, and is therefore being eyed for “modern-day explorers, whether a hardworking student, a spontaneous young traveler, blogger, productive and mobile entrepreneur or sales executive trying to create an impression”, according to a statement from the company.
Designed with the latest generation Intel Atom Z2760 1.5GHz processor with up to 1.8GHz Intel Burst Technology and a DDR3 1066MHz memory, this computing tool has numerous features. These include: a unique full-sized wireless Bluetooth keyboard dock ideal for students and travel bloggers who don’t rely much on pens and would want to write anytime, anywhere; and the Windows Office Home and Student 2013 bundle that makes a premium choice for an application that offers great value and a significant competitive advantage against other computing tools. The Acer Iconia W3 also qualifies as browsing buddy for web surfers, netizens and social networking buffs because of its connectivity qualities, either via 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi capability or Bluetooth 4.0+EDR SW. In addition, the unit boasts an eight-hour long battery life (Lithium-Ion battery (25.16W).
Acer Iconia W3 similarly boasts: 1280 x 800 WXGA display with a Capacitive 5-touch input touch screen, and Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The Acer Iconia W3 will be first made available to corporate and individual subscribers of wireless services leader Smart Communications Inc. (Smart). With the Acer-Smart partnership, the tablet will soon be bundled with a variety of postpaid and prepaid packages that come with Smart Bro, the country’s ‘nationwidest’ mobile high-speed broadband service.
