CloudFone launches PH’s first Intel-based Android and dual OS tablets

CloudFone has launched the country’s first Intel-based Android tablet known as CloudPad One 7.0, and the first Intel-based dual OS tablets namely CloudPad Epic 7.1 and CloudPad Epic 8.9, making it the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to introduce the first ever Intel-based tablets on newest Android and dual OS in Asia.

These tablets were developed as a result of the collaboration between CloudFone and partners such as Intel Philippines.

Powered by the 1.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Atom, CloudPad One 7.0 runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 OS; has 8GB of memory plus 1GB of RAM to store photos, videos, games and other applications; and Wi-Fi ready.

Based on the 64-bit platform of the new 22nm Intel Atom chip, CloudPad One can support 64-bit applications, and enable tablets to use more than 4GB of RAM. Besides, it can deliver more data per cycle, giving tablets the ability to multi-task and improve power efficiency and battery life as well.

With its Intelligent Battery Management, CloudPad One 7.0 can sustain power throughout the day. Significantly, users have the advantage of over-the-air updates within two weeks of release of the latest Android Lollipop OS for up to two years.

“IRDA delivers a combined roadmap of the latest designs and updates; which, together with CloudFone’s local market expertise, enables CloudFone to easily customize designs based on the demands of Filipino end-users and accelerate their time to market. With the CloudPad One 7.0, today’s consumers can enjoy the best tablet experience with the advantage of the Intel Atom processor and all the latest Android apps,” said Chisholm.

Having a 7-inch touchscreen display, and a 5-megapixel rear and front camera, the CloudPad One 7.0 is now available at Php6,999.

CloudFone also launched two new dual-boot tablets, CloudPad Epic 7.1 and CloudPad Epic 8.9, that adopted the CloudFone’s Crossover Technology, allowing users to run both Android 4.4 Kitkat and Windows 8.1. Designed to work on touch-screen devices, Windows Office 365 applications such as Word, Excel or Powerpoint, can be activated in these devices.

The CloudPad Epic 7.1 has a 7-inch high-definition display, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the CloudPad Epic 8.9 has an 8.9-inch full HD display, 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Both devices run on a 1.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Atom processor, and have a 5-megapixel real camera and 2MP front-facing camera.

The CloudPad Epic 7.1 sells at Php4,999 while the CloudPad One Epic 8.9 retails at Php8,999.

The CloudPad 8.0, which runs on Windows 8.1 and powered by the 1.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Atom processor, was also introduced. Now sold at Php7,999, the tablet has 16GB of memory and 1GB of RAM and is available in yellow, red and blue colors.
