Korean electronics company Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has unveiled its SUHD TV that uses the revolutionary and eco-friendly nano-crystal technology; and a new line-up of audio products including Omni-Directional 360 Audio and Curved Soundbars which enhance the home entertainment experience with immersive and crystal clear sound.
The nano-crystal technology and the intelligent SUHD re-mastering picture quality engine complement each other in enhancing contrast, brightness, color reproduction and detail to produce best picture quality. The technology, which transmits different colors of light depending on their size to produce the highest color purity and light efficiency, produces a wide range of more accurate colors that are 64 times more color expression than conventional TVs.
On the other hand, the intelligent SUHD re-mastering engine, which optimizes all content to match the color and brightness reproduction of the SUHD TV, automatically analyzes the brightness of images to minimize additional power consumption, while producing ultimate contrast levels, showing images with much darker blacks and an elevated level of brightness that is more than 2.5 times brighter than conventional UHD TVs.
These features, together with Samsung Family TV 2.0, Smart TV and Curved TV, were introduced by Samsung to match and meet the needs of its customers. Family TV 2.0, which still has the features of last year’s Family TV, allows users to save and send photos and sound bites of their favorite TV moments. It features Story Replay that can record still photos with the audio of TV programs.
On Samsung Smart TV, users can enjoy sports mode that allows quick access to sport matches like in basketball and boxing where three points and punches will be highlighted. Exciting moments from the game can be played back if a user wants to relive the action.
Using eco-friendly technology that promotes energy efficiency and reliability, three new series of SUHD TVs – JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 – from 55 to 88 inches, will be offered by Samsung so buyers can have the choice of TV that suits their style and taste.
Samsung will also produce new models of curved TV due to increasing demand for it.
The SUHD TV JS9500 features a chamfer bezel design that adds more depth to the TV screen, and an elegant frame that makes the display look like a piece of art mounted on the wall. The SUHD TV JS9000, on the other hand, has a soft, textured shirring design on the rear of the display giving TV a premium look and stylish edge when viewed from any angle.
On the audio segment, Samsung announced the WAM 7500/6500 speakers designed to harmonize any home interior. It utilizes the ring radio technology which allows sound to flow in 360 degrees radius that provides rich-bodied sound. Featuring a hassle-free setup with plug-and-pay installation, this speaker has to be connected to a router and plug the unit in.
Samsung also introduced its Curved Soundbar that has a sleek design, complementing and providing Curved TVs – from 48 inches to 79 inches – with premium audio solution.
Offering enhanced sound quality with 9.1 channel audio, the new 8500 series features a central speaker and side speakers on each end which deliver a more equalized surround sound.
The Soundbar has a Multi-Air gap speaker at its subwoofer which features deeper bass and allows users to stream music through its multiroom functionality. It also has a wireless connection to the TV through TV SoundConnect via Bluetooth.
