Teleperformance (TP) in the Philippines continues to champion inclusion and diversity with its TP Skills Training to Employment Program or TP STEP, which was recognized as a top finalist for the Grand Anvil Award and a winner of the Gold Anvil Award in the Public Relations Program-Corporate Social Responsibility/Good Governance category at the prestigious 60th Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

TP STEP is a key initiative of the Impact Sourcing program of TP in the Philippines, which provides underprivileged individuals access to future-ready skills and rewarding careers in the contact center industry. It underscores the company’s commitment to the realization of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) by providing meaningful employment and opportunities for marginalized groups, such as Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), individuals from underserved communities, long-term unemployed individuals, and former Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
Since its launch in 2023, TP STEP has successfully partnered with 25 community-based organizations, LGUs, NGOs, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) training centers to pilot TP STEP.
A key achievement of TP STEP is its partnership with Pasig City in 2024, which delivered a remarkable 88% hire rate, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in connecting individuals with employment opportunities.
Following the success in Pasig, TP aims to expand the program to other cities and provinces including Quezon City, Taguig City, Pampanga, and Davao.
“Winning this award is a proud moment for all of us at TP as it affirms our commitment to creating a truly inclusive workplace and driving meaningful change in society,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines. “This also reflects the dedication and shared vision of our teams and partners in empowering individuals with opportunities to transform their lives.”
With initiatives like TP STEP, the TP for All impact sourcing program bridges world-class Filipino talent in the provinces and transformative careers in the global IT-BPM industry. With TP for All complementing the government’s push for greater countryside development in the Visayas and Mindanao, TP was able to hire hundreds of individuals from communities outside urban centers, benefitting over a thousand families, and contributing to the creation of thousands of indirect jobs in these areas.
TP remains firm in leveraging its business as a force for good to better the lives of people, communities, and the environment. The company’s high-tech and high-touch approach towards workplace culture, talent development, innovation, and sustainable operations in the Philippines has been widely recognized with awards such as Top IT-BPM Company, Best Company to Work For, Sustainable Business Champion, Gender-Inclusive Workplace, and Top 5 Philippines Best Workplaces.
