Monde Nissin supports P.U.S.O. Foundation Mission Trip to serve Aeta Students in Porac, Pampanga

The initiative supports Aeta students as they begin the 2024-2025 academic year and reflects the joint commitment of Monde Nissin and P.U.S.O. to supporting local communities through volunteer efforts.

P.U.S.O. Foundation teams from the USA and Philippines led a mission trip to the Aeta community in Barangay Diaz, Porac Pampanga. Along with employee volunteers from the Monde Nissin Corporation Pampanga Plant Site, the team brought essential school supplies, hygiene kits, and nutritious snacks to students in the Diaz Elementary School. The initiative supports Aeta students as they begin the 2024-2025 academic year and reflects the joint commitment of Monde Nissin and P.U.S.O. to supporting local communities through volunteer efforts.

The PUSO Foundation, which stands for Purposeful Unconditional Service to Others, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through service work and community engagement. This year the mission to Porac has been supported by Monde Nissin employees through their Tulong Sulong program, which encourages employee volunteerism and implements impactful corporate social responsibility projects nationwide.

As Monde Nissin employee volunteer KM Maniego shared, “Engaging in these activities not only builds social skills among our employees but also fosters a workplace grounded in humility and understanding. This broadens their perspectives beyond our plants and offices, and helps them connect with local communities on a more personal level.”

And connect they did with the children at the school.  Reading stories, playing games, dancing, and just having fun.  Kapampangan Monde Nissin employees along with the teachers of Diaz Elementary School were able to help bridge the communication gap but smiles and laughter was the language of the day.

Foundation highlights the importance of collaboration in preserving cultural heritage through sustainable practices, paving the way for a brighter future for Filipino communities.
