PLDT Inc. (PLDT) wireless subsidiary Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has teamed up with AirAsia Philippines, SM, and 7-Eleven to reward loyal and lucky customers, and at the same time, ramp up access to the mobile network’s services.

Under the Load & Fly raffle with SM, four lucky customers won international roundtrip tickets for two simply by entering the raffle when they purchased Php500 load cards, SIM, or eSIM via SM touchpoints. Meanwhile, through the CLiQQ, Load & Fly promo with 7-Eleven, three lucky customers who participated in the raffle by purchasing select load promos, Php 300 and Php 500 regular load via CLiQQ app also won international roundtrip tickets for two.

“This is our way of delighting our customers with big and exciting rewards for simply using our value-packed products and services. We are also grateful to our partners AirAsia Philippines, SM, and 7-Eleven who help us widen our market reach and support us in delivering world-class mobile services to Filipinos,” said Chito M. Franco, Consumer Sales VP and Head of Key Accounts at PLDT and Smart.

Aside from the raffle promos, Smart also distributed vouchers to select Manila-bound international AirAsia flights so that tourists could redeem their free SIM or eSIMs at the Smart booths located at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

“AirAsia, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the 15th year running, has always been about democratizing air travel, allowing everyone to reach their destinations safely and affordably while enabling them to fulfill their aspirations for their loved ones. In this journey, we recognize the value of having reliable partners like Smart in providing innovative and inclusive travel experiences through exciting customer rewards and access to connectivity, products and services,” said Ricky Isla, AirAsia Philippines CEO.

“This partnership with AirAsia is aligned with our commitment to deliver an elevated digital experience particularly to tourists, and help position the country as a premier tourist destination,” added Franco.

Smart and TNT eSIMs are powered by Smart’s mobile network, which was recently recognized for delivering the Philippines’ Best 5G Coverage Experience, according to the latest report by independent analytics firm Opensignal.  Smart’s mobile network covers 97% of the population and is part of the Philippines’ largest integrated network that includes PLDT’s 1.1-million-kilometer fiber infrastructure.

Smart’s initiatives to deliver innovative mobile products and services are aligned with the PLDT Group’s endeavors to narrow the digital divide and provide connectivity to all, supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) particularly on SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. These also reinforce the Group’s support for the Government’s overall digitalization thrust.
