PLDT’s wireless unit, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), has recently turned over signages and tents for the Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Association (TODA) kiosks benefitting 16 barangays in the Municipality of Murcia, Negros Occidental.
This initiative aims to provide shade to drivers and commuters in waiting areas of tricycle terminals and easy identification of these stations.
“On behalf of the constituents of LGU Murcia, we would like to thank Smart for this support. This is very helpful to our commuters and drivers, especially during the summer season,” said Municipal Mayor Gerry Rojas.
Smart also extended communication support to the municipality via the #SmartInfocast, a web-based text message broadcasting solution that enables the local government to disseminate important announcements to its constituents.
The turnover activity was joined by the following: Murcia Municipal Mayor Gerry Rojas, Tourism Head Estela Barbo, Smart Regional Customer Development West Visayas AVP/Center Head Ediner Tinio, Smart Area Development Manager for Negros Island Allan Luna, Smart Customer Development Manager Vicmar Awid, Joemarie Ortega and Jovelyn Maluyao of PD Daily Ware.
