Technology services provider in Phl chooses Vertiv integrated solutions for data center upgrades

Vertiv installed the Vertiv SmartRow 2 and the Vertiv SmartAisle to Trends’ two data center locations in Cavite and Makati City, respectively.

Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced that it provided its integrated micro data center solutions to Trends & Technologies, Inc., one of the leading IT services providers in the Philippines. Vertiv installed the Vertiv SmartRow 2 and the Vertiv SmartAisle to Trends’ two data center locations in Cavite and Makati City, respectively.

From a company offering basic data connectivity and cabling in the early 90s, Trends has become one of the Philippines’ premier Systems Integrators that caters to the technology requirements of various markets, including contact center and business process outsourcing, financial services, healthcare, education, media manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. In 2019, the company embarked on a digital transformation program, which includes its organization and processes. Last year, Trends also chose to upgrade its two aging data centers to better support its customers.

Being a valued contributor to the Vertiv Partner Program for over 10 years, Trends & Technologies opted to install the Vertiv SmartAisle and the Vertiv SmartRow 2 in its two locations. The two solutions replaced their traditional brick-and-mortar style infrastructure, giving them the flexibility to support more computing requirements from their customers. Both solutions are fully integrated with best-in-class power, cooling, monitoring and security features. In addition, because of their fully-integrated design, both the SmartRow 2 and SmartAisle were deployed and installed within weeks in both of Trends’ data center locations, providing minimal disruptions to their business operations.

“We are grateful for the reliability and efficiency that Vertiv™ solutions give to us. We would like to show to our clientele that such a technology exists, and we as a technology company are actually using it. Our aim is to help our customers drive for success and this transformation will certainly allow us to meet this goal,” said Hasan Fard, chairman & chief executive officer of Trends.

“Trends & Technologies has been committed in supporting Vertiv to provide the best solutions for customers across the country. We are very pleased that they chose Vertiv™ solutions for their own IT rooms in its Philippine offices.  It is a testament to the high level of trust and strong partnership between us, not only in selling our solutions but also in deploying these solutions for their own business operations,” said Daniel Sim, senior director for channel business, Vertiv in Asia.
