Lazada, the biggest ecommerce platform in Southeast Asia, is celebrating its 7th birthday, complete with the holding of the biggest online shopping party where customers will be treated with more items to choose from, more discounts and vouchers.
Ray Alimurung, chief executive officer at Lazada Philippines, said in celebration of Lazada’s birthday, there will be an online shopping party on March 27 where over 80-million items or products will be up for grabs and customers will be offered with up to 90% discounts and 70-million vouchers.
Alimurung also said Lazada will introduce more products and for the first time, it will sell condominium units and town houses where customers can buy at Revolution Precrafted and Robinsons Land. For this particular item, Lazada will be giving up to 50% off on the reservation fee. Lazada would be the first ecommerce app on marketplace in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia to sell condominium units online. The online shopping portal was also the first online platform to sell a car, having a customer who acquired a Monte Carlo Mini last year.
For the first time, Lazada will be using the concept of “shoppertainment”, the blending of shopping and entertainment, to introduce new experiences for their customers. Through this concept, customers can get additional discounts and vouchers when they play LazGame, pop as many balloons as you can with Popping Balloons; blast all cakes and fun gifts with Birthday Blast, and slash your way to the top with Fruit Earn cupcake points with every game and exchange these for your favorite brand vouchers. Apart from these discounts and vouchers, other major partners of Lazada such as GCash and payMaya are offering discounts on quick purchases if customers made payments with them. SunLife offers travel packages while customers who shop on March 27 will get a free pizza from Shakey’s. For Lazada’s first shoppertainment event, its customers will witness the in-app livestreaming from Jakarta of their super party concert, which is made possible with the technology and support of Alibaba.
