Believing that having a digital-first ID will bridge the identity gap and narrow the digital divide in the country, a team composed of family members and led by Voyager Innovations Technology architect Diwa del Mundo developed the Tatak Digital ID platform. It is a practical, interoperable, secure app with offline capabilities that will complement the recently passed Philippine Identification System Act of 2018 or PhilSys.
Diwa’s team won among the hundreds of teams from around the world under the Digital ID track at the recently held Asian Development Bank-Asian Institute of Management Hackathon 2018.
“The Philippine National ID system is finally coming. It is a great opportunity to develop and implement a digital-first ID solution that solves the identity gap and digital divide challenges in our country,” said del Mundo.
