Robinsons Department Store now accepts payments via PayMaya app

Robinsons Department Store has launched PayMaya’s QR-code system in its store at Robinsons Galleria.

PayMaya is a prepaid electronic wallet accessible via mobile app that comes with a virtual and physical card. It is available to mobile subscribers of Smart, TNT, Sun, and even other networks.

Consumers just need to download the mobile app in Google Play or Apple Store, register and load up their account. The app has a QR code scanner feature that allows users to just conveniently scan the QR code of merchants when paying for purchases.

With the QR-code system in place, Robinsons Department Store customers may now use their mobile phones for in-store transactions via their PayMaya app, allowing for convenient, secure, and hassle-free payments.

“As retailers, we want to give more flexibility and versatility to our customers. Having e-payment platforms is one way to apply innovative solutions brought about by new technologies. This fits well into a market that already embraces a very digital culture,” said Johnson Go, General Manager of Robinsons Department Store.

Robinsons Department Store is also currently engaged with PayMaya as one of the partners of Robinsons Business Center, a payment services hub located in all RDS branches. Alongside using the app for payments, customers can also load up their cards at the Business Center for their cashless transactions.
