Fujifilm launches new cams for Phl

Fujifilm, a photographic and imaging solutions provider, launched the SQ10, the first hybrid instant camera that uses the firm’s new Instax’s Square film format to print both instant and digital photos.

The Instax SQ10 camera has a built-in storage media that can store up to approximately 50 files and can be expanded through a microSD/microSDHC memory card. With a ¼-inch CMOS image sensor having primary color filter that supported JPEG image format, the camera can create a 1920 x 1920-pixel photos. It also has a three-inch TFT color LCD monitor. The camera’s Instax’s Square film format brings out 1:1 aspect ratio in the size of the image, which is 66mm x 62mm, in a film that measures 86 x 72mm.

To be purchased separately, the camera’s film has a capacity of 10 prints per pack. SQ10 uses the NP-50 battery which enables the camera to produce 160 prints when it is fully charged. With a built-in charging function, the battery is charged approximately three to four hours using 0.5A USB port.

Other line of cameras unveiled include the Fujifilm X-A3 and Instax Mini 9 cameras. Having a 180-degree tiltable LCD monitor, the Fujifilm X-A3 camera can be used for taking selfies. It also has a touch screen operation and a newly developed 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor. Apart from these, the camera has a built-in pop-up flash that supports the Super Intelligent Flash system to control light output according to individual scenes. Equipped with Wi-Fi capability, the camera can be connected to Instax Share for on-the-spot printing to a smartphone or tablet for photo transfers and remote-shooting.

The Mini 9 camera, meanwhile, has a feature that can determine the best brightness for taking pictures, and provides setting by lighting the corresponding lamp and turning the brightness adjustment dial to the position of the lit lamp. Now available at all Fujifilm authorized dealers nationwide, the new Instax SQ10 camera is sold at P14,999 while the Mini 9 is priced at P3,999. The Fujifilm X-A3, which is available in brown, silver, and pink colors, can be bought at P34,990.
