Designed to cater to the needs of enterprises of all sizes, Power PDF 2 is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Wordtext Systems, Inc.(WSI), one of the country’s top IT vendors.

The Power PDF 2, which offers enterprise-grade capabilities, delivers usability, compatibility and security to enterprises that work with PDF files heavily on a daily operational basis. It also addresses the needs of Windows 10 users by delivering PDF software tools that conform with MS Office 2016.

“The Power PDF 2 is a cost-effective choice for organizations seeking increased productivity, process automation, cost reduction, robust security, and ease of deployment and use. The software is customizable to meet business needs, regardless of company size or nature,” said Emmanuel Catimbang, Channel and OEM Manager, APAC at Nuance Communications, Inc.

Catimbang claims the demand for PDF software is growing as PDF print drivers have created a surge in PDF files which now need to be managed, edited, and secured.

The Power PDF 2 provides tools intended to make businesses more secure and productive. These include form publishing/creation, editing, scanning, commenting, conversion, forms, security, search and file storage. Image accuracy and PDF conversion to Microsoft Office formats can be achieved through its OmniPage OCR technology.

To secure documents, the Microsoft Active Directory Rights Management Services can be accessed to lock down documents without passwords and apply customized protection based on predefined enterprise policies for sender and recipient.

Another feature of Power PDF 2 is that it allows users to create forms easily without the need to retype fields, and handle all types of PDF forms available on the Web. It boasts of having a productivity tool – Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition solution – which can transcribe and fill in forms via speech-to-text integration.

Derek Austin, Director, APAC at Dragon Solutions, noted that Dragon Speech Recognition solution is available in more than one language – English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese. He also said that they have solutions in different operating system.

Sunny Lun, Senior Presales Consultant, Imaging Desktop & DNS Solutions, APAC at Nuance Communications, noted that Power PDF 2 allows connection to a cloud storage system. “We do have our own cloud storage to do the conversion and modify contents,” he said.

Multiple documents can be opened from cloud storage to combine into one PDF document, according to Lun. “That’s what we call assembly, or to combine into a single PDF or even to what we call portfolio as well. We have the feature to combine the PDF together.”

WSI, as the exclusive distributor of the product, offers pricing and licensing structures that can help customers save on deployment cost.

“The Power PDF 2 can be bought on a per box product or license basis. It’s a perpetual license,” said Reign Putong, Senior Business Development Manager at WSI. “The license costs P7,800.”

Putong notes that they have different pricing structures for commercial, government, and education sectors. She, however, said that the more licenses a customer purchases, the lower the price he/she will be getting.

“Pricing is flexible based on the needs of customers and the volume they are getting,” said Putong.
