HP Philippines has introduced new convertible and detachable laptops designed for mobile professionals, particularly millennials, looking for budget-friendly mobile devices that feature both the functionalities of a PC and the convenience of a tablet.
The midrange Intel-based Windows laptops recently introduced in the Philippines include the HP Pavilion x360 Convertible, HP Pavilion x2, HP x2, and the HP Elite x2.
Convertibles
Running Windows 10 Home, the Pavilion x360 Convertible features a 360-degree geared hinge that lets you shift between four modes: laptop, stand, tent, and tablet.
Available in Modern Gold, the Pavilion x360 Convertible comes in a choice of 11.6-inch or 13.3-inch diagonal HD(33) IPS UWVA WLED-backlit multitouch-enabled edge-to-edge glass (1366 x 768) display.
Inside the Pavilion x360 Convertible is an Intel processor: Celeron N3060 or Pentium N3710 for the model with 11.6” display; and Intel Core for the 13.3” model.
The Pavilion x360 Convertible also features 4 GB DDR3L SDRAM (4GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM for the Intel Core version), 500GB 5400 RPM Serial ATA Hard Drive, and Intel HD Graphics with up to 2104 MB total graphics memory.
Starting at under 3lbs and less than 20mm thin, it’s up to 14% thinner than before, and boasts of up to 9 hours and 15 minutes of battery life. Designed with a smaller hinge, this is the thinnest, lightest Pavilion x360 ever.
Other notable features include B&O Play with dual speakers, front-facing HP Wide Vision HD Webcam, and a full-size island-style keyboard. Ports include 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI, and 1 headphone/microphone combo.
The suggested retail prices of the HP Pavilion 360 Convertible range from Php20,990 (Intel Celeron N3060) to Php29,990 (Intel Core).
Detachables
In the detachable laptops division, the company introduced the HP x2 and the HP Pavilion X2.
HP x2 is a simple detachable laptop that can transform into four different computing modes. The X2 runs on Windows 10 powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 (1.44 GHz, up to 1.92 GHz, 2 MB cache, 4 cores) with a standard memory 32 GB eMMC, a 500GB Hard drive and Graphics Intel® HD Graphics 400.
It has a 10.1″ diagonal WXGA IPS eDP BrightView WLED-backlit multitouch-enabled edge-to-edge glass (1280 x 800). The HP x2 has a retail price of Php15,990.
Meanwhile, the Pavilion x2 is powered by the Intel Atom Z8300with Intel HD Graphics (1.44GHz, 2MBcache, 4 cores) with 2GB DDR3L running Windows 10 Home 64. It has a 25.7 cm (10.1″) diagonal IPSWXGA anti-glare WLED-back lit touchscreen (1280×800).
The Pavilion x2 costs 16,990.
HP Elite x2 1012 retail version
The HP Elite x2 1012 (based on Windows 10 Pro) detachable laptop was launched in the first half of this year but was only exclusively available to enterprises. To expand its market reach, the company is rolling out a retail edition of the HP Elite x2 which will be based on Windows 10 Single Language.
Both editions will have the same hardware specifications, the only difference will be the Windows OS version preinstalled. The retail edition will have a suggested retail price of Php59,990.
