According to So, the Polycom solution has three components. It is a solution that can be sourced from the cloud, on-premise and hybrid, for an engaging collaboration. It also has the ability to provide concepts and designs, and partner with other IT vendors such as Microsoft and IBM to expand functions needed to have a better communication.
Complementing these components are workspaces and huddle rooms for a faster gathering in small groups and extend collaboration beyond the conference room or connect with employees outside the workplace.
Kim Malinao, Sales Engineer at Polycom Philippines, said that Polycom video conferencing solution can support even up to 10,000 users or web viewers or as long as the hardware can support it.
Malinao also said that any solutions that use standard space can communicate with Polycom solutions. To have a possible connection with Skype, the Polycom solution should be integrated with Skype for Business.
To equip customers with cloud-ready solutions that will realize the benefits of collaboration in the so-called ‘workspace of the future’, Malinao has introduced Polycom video collaboration solutions which include the following: RealPresence Centro, RealPresence Trio, RealPresence Debut and Acoustic Fence.
Designed for work group collaboration, the Polycom RealPresence Centro is better set up in open spaces like showroom. It provides the full view or 360-degree of the room where the setup allows everyone to easily see and be seen no matter where they are in the room.
The RealPresence Trio is a modular smart hub for group collaboration that can be set up from the huddle room to the boardroom. It can initially start as an audio phone but can be updated into a video conferencing device. According to Malinao, this solution is compatible with Microsoft Linc or Skype, both online and on-premise.
The RealPresence Debut makes enterprise video conferencing simple that is set up in a huddle room or small spaces.
The Polycom Acoustic Fence is used to avoid background distractions that disturbed communication among participants.
