Electronics products maker Sharp Philippines has unveiled the newest AQUOS XU TV series LC-80XU930X and LC-70XU830X, the world’s first 4K TV with 8K resolution, or 7680 x 4320 pixels, which is four times clearer than 4K resolution.
The combination of Sharp’s proprietary Quattron Pro 4-Color Technology and its newest upscaling circuit, the X8-Master Engine Pro can make AQUOS XU series achieve 8K resolution on a 4K Ultra HD panel. These technologies work together to achieve resolution equivalent to 8K by upscaling Full HD and 4K UHD content, making the dark area of the picture darker and the bright area brighter.
The series displays more color and expands color reproduction range by 40%, and provides deepest contrasts in its blacks and whites with its Rich Color Pro Technology that is boosted by a new direct LED backlight system and Ultra Dynamic Range Pro.
The external look of AQUOS XU series features a sleek aluminum frame that highlights its lightweight design. For LC-80XU930X model, it has an adjustable loop stand that is adjustable up to 40-centimeter on the inner portion. The model, with its N-Black Anti-Glare Technology, enhances viewing experience if there’s less reflection on the screen.
The AQUOS XU series boasts a Bluetooth-enabled remote with user-friendly interface that allows users instant access to Netflix or tap the HOME screen button to access Movies, Search, Recommendation, Apps, Games, Inputs and Settings. The XU series has a touch pad which enhances the gaming pleasure on TV.
Apart from having the highest resolution in a 4K UHD panel, the XU series also works with the latest Android TV. It allows viewers to command the TV with the Smart Remote with Google Voice Search function that recognizes 61 languages. It also provides access to over 600 Android apps and games on TV from the Google Play Store and has Google Cast to let users cast their favorite entertainment and apps from Google Cast-enabled apps on their TV.
