To help keep mobile devices and confidential company data it contains safe and secure, SMART launched a new Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution for the enterprise market.

In partnership with MobileIron, an international Mobile IT provider, SMART’s MDM solution is the country’s first such offering by a telco. It allows users to secure corporate data stored in the phone, analyze mobile phone usage, track or remotely wipe lost or stolen phones, and even disable specific functions like cameras, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

SMART MDM will be offered in a modular plan, so companies can pick and choose which functionalities they want. A user-friendly interface makes dealing with the MDM solution quick and worry-free, with batch deployments allowing a company to customize MDM policies according to the needs of different roles and ranks in their company.

“As the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) trend becomes ever more pervasive, enterprises need a way to keep their IT security intact. That is why we partnered with the most capable MDM providers, to offer Philippine companies a comprehensive and secure management solution for their mobile devices,” said PLDT FVP and Head of PLDT ALPHA Enterprise and SMART Enterprise Sales and Marketing Head Jovy Hernandez. “This new service is in line with our commitment to data security, but – more importantly – it allows our clients to enjoy the full mobile experience without having to worry about any of the risks.”
