TikTok Shop joined Go Negosyo’s Women Summit 2025: Women Breaking Boundaries, reaffirming its commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs in the Philippines.
The summit brought together female business leaders, government officials, and aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss the evolving role of women in business and the opportunities presented by digital platforms.
A Pathway to Success for Women Entrepreneurs
As a key participant, TikTok Shop highlighted the role of social commerce in enabling women-led businesses to thrive. The platform provides a dynamic and interactive space where female entrepreneurs can build their brands, connect with customers, and drive sales through innovative tools like live selling, short-form content, and data-driven optimization strategies.
Recognizing the growing influence of digital commerce, Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion underscored how technology is reshaping the entrepreneurial landscape. He emphasized that with the right platforms and resources, women entrepreneurs can scale their businesses more efficiently, reach wider markets, and sustain long-term growth in an increasingly digital-driven economy.
“Digital commerce is transforming the way Filipino MSMEs grow, and women entrepreneurs are at the forefront of this shift. e-Commerce platforms are empowering them to scale their businesses, connect with customers nationwide, and build sustainable brands through content-driven engagement. Go Negosyo is proud to collaborate with TikTok Shop and other online marketplaces in equipping small business owners with the right tools, insights, and networks to thrive in the digital economy,” Concepcion said.
Women-Led Brands Scaling Through TikTok Shop
At the summit, TikTok Shop Category Lead for Health and Mom & Baby Joanna Tantoco shared insights on how the platform fosters business growth through its ACE Framework—Assortment, Content, and Empowerment—which helps sellers optimize their product selection, create compelling content, and leverage interactive features to enhance customer engagement. The session also showcased success stories of women-led businesses that have flourished through TikTok Shop, including Cley’s Food Products, Wellness Whispers, and Tiny Buds.
Cley’s, a local food brand, started as a home-based business and has since expanded its operations, generating employment for up to 15 workers. The brand credits its success to TikTok Shop’s live shopping tools and interactive content strategies, which have enabled them to engage customers more effectively and scale their reach across the country.
Similarly, Wellness Whispers, a wellness brand founded by entrepreneur and content creator Dani Barretto, has built a strong following on TikTok Shop. By integrating live selling and interactive content into its marketing approach, the brand has not only increased sales but also fostered a community centered around self-care and well-being.
Tiny Buds, a trusted name in the mom-and-baby category, has leveraged TikTok Shop to enhance its brand storytelling and drive engagement among parents. Through a combination of educational content, interactive shopping experiences, and social impact initiatives, such as its partnership with Make-A-Wish Philippines, Tiny Buds has demonstrated how digital commerce can be both profitable and purpose-driven.
Honoring Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs
The summit also celebrated outstanding Filipina entrepreneurs who have made a significant impact in their respective industries. Among the awardees was Abbie Ricohermoso of Josefina’s Homemade Food, who was recognized as one of Go Negosyo’s Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs. The awards were presented by First Lady Liza Marcos, Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion, and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina Roque, underscoring the government and private sector’s support for female-led enterprises.
Partnerships Powering MSME Growth in the Digital Age
TikTok Shop continues to collaborate with organizations like the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Go Negosyo to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to navigate and succeed in the digital economy. Initiatives such as the Buy Local, Shop Local campaign reinforce TikTok Shop’s commitment to strengthening the local MSME ecosystem by providing education, exposure, and access to digital tools.
As social commerce continues to evolve, TikTok Shop remains dedicated to empowering Filipino entrepreneurs, particularly women-led businesses, by offering innovative selling solutions, fostering digital literacy, and building a supportive and inclusive online marketplace.
