The PLDT Group has been recognized as Company of the Year for the fifth consecutive year at the 60th Anvil Awards held recently at the Manila Hotel.
The Company of the Year honor is awarded to the organization with the highest quality of entries and the greatest number of accumulated points based on the value of each Anvil trophy received.
This year, the PLDT Group—comprised of brand teams from ePLDT, PLDT Enterprise, PLDT Home, PLDT Global, Smart Sports, and TNT—secured two Gold and 12 Silver Anvils for key initiatives in brand and corporate communications, community relations, corporate citizenship, customer experience, cybersecurity, and data privacy. These programs have helped improve the lives of consumers and communities.
“The Anvil Award is a recognition not only of the quality of work but also of the impact of programs across communities and industries. It is about creating meaningful change through well-crafted, thoughtful, and strategic PR campaigns,” said Paul Michael S. De Quiros, Chairperson of the 60th Anvil Awards, during the opening ceremony.
“We are honored to be recognized once again by the PRSP for our programs that foster meaningful connections and create lasting impact in the communities we serve. This recognition reaffirms PLDT and Smart’s unwavering commitment to excellence in communication and nation-building,” said Ramon R. Isberto, communications consultant and former Public Affairs head of PLDT and Smart. Isberto was also former chair of the Anvil Awards.
Isberto added, “We share this honor with our employees, partners, and stakeholders, whose passion and collaboration continue to drive our initiatives for a digitally inclusive Philippines.”
PLDT and Smart won Gold Anvils for:
• Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Bootcamp, a workshop designed to boost employee competencies in integrating data protection principles into the design process of PLDT and Smart systems, programs, products and services.
• TNT Petmaloop Challenge, a branding and communication campaign where a single TNT-powered smartphone was relayed across 33 TikTok creators nationwide, livestreaming continuously for 26 hours across beaches, mountains, and fields—earning TNT the Guinness World Record for Longest Travel Livestream.
PLDT Group affiliate, Maya, also took home four Silver Anvil trophies.
Regarded as the “Oscars of Philippine PR,” the Anvil Awards is the highest recognition for outstanding public relations campaigns, programs, and institutions that have made a significant impact in the country. Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), this year’s edition received the highest number of entries in its history.
