TNT, the value brand of PLDT mobile services arm Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), has once again bagged prestigious recognitions for its impactful and viral SIM Registration campaign at the recent Asia Pacific (APAC) Effie Awards 2024 and YouTube Works Awards Philippines.
TNT clinched the Silver Award in the Crisis Response/Critical Pivot – Services category of the 2024 APAC Effie Awards held in Singapore. A global symbol of achievement in the marketing industry, the annual awards recognize the best marketing campaigns in the region, gathering entries from Australia, China, India, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea.
On the other hand, TNT won the ‘Force for Good’ Award for YouTube Works Awards Philippines, a category that recognizes the most groundbreaking and effective campaigns that inspire and empower audiences to take action.
The same campaign, which TNT produced with GIGIL Manila and rolled out with Wavemaker Philippines, also made it to the 1st Runner-Up for the Best Brand Story category and the 2nd Runner-Up for Best of Country category.
TNT’s SIM Registration campaign consists of a series of public service reminders encouraging subscribers to register their SIM in compliance with the SIM Registration Law, a measure that aims to help prevent mobile phone-aided crimes such as text scams.
The well-received campaign racked up millions of views and engagement and earned local and international acclaim from bodies such as Kidlat Awards, AdFest 2024, Boomerang 2023 Awards, and Korea’s MAD Stars 2023, among others.
Following their successful SIM Registration campaign, Smart and TNT recently launched HuliScam, a public reporting portal that enables customers to easily report incidents of text scams and phishing messages, among others, at www.smart.com.ph/huliscam.
The HuliScam portal complements the new and more advanced network firewall that the PLDT Group had recently activated to block malicious messages from passing through its network, providing customers a safer and more secure mobile lifestyle.
