Maya supports BSP’s PalengQR Plus launch in Puerto Princesa City

The first PalengQR Plus initiative in the MIMAROPA region aims to promote everyday cashless transactions in public markets and local transportation, as part of a digitalizing the payment ecosystem of the country.

The first PalengQR Plus initiative in the MIMAROPA region aims to promote everyday cashless transactions in public markets and local transportation, as part of a digitalizing the payment ecosystem of the country.

The initiative is led by the Bangko Sentral ng Pililpinas (BSP) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), in partnership with the local government.  Through this “digi-palengke” program, vendors and tricycle drivers in Puerto Princesa City can now easily accept digital payments from any e-wallet provider or bank using the standardized QR Ph system.
