Trip.com Group partners with Megaworld Hotels & Resorts

This partnership will see Trip.com Group and MHR will collaborate closely on pricing and inventory management across all of MHR’s 13 properties, 7 brands, and more than 8,500 room keys including the ones in the pipeline.

Trip.com Group is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR), the largest hotel operator in the Philippines. This collaboration is Trip.com Group’s first strategic partnership in the Philippines, signifying its commitment to supporting the country’s vibrant tourism industry.

Signed by Pebbles Caramat, Head of Distribution, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, and Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President of International Markets, Trip.com Group, this partnership will see Trip.com Group and MHR will collaborate closely on pricing and inventory management across all of MHR’s 13 properties, 7 brands, and more than 8,500 room keys including the ones in the pipeline. This joint effort aims to optimise availability and pricing, ensuring competitive rates and seamless booking experiences for travellers. MHR’s properties will also enjoy enhanced visibility on Trip.com Group’s platforms, providing users with prioritised access to some of the finest accommodations in the Philippines, at the most competitive rates.

Both parties will also collaborate to provide MHR properties with comprehensive marketing support, leveraging the Group’s global reach and marketing expertise to promote MHR’s brands, showcasing new hotels and spearheading targeted campaigns to attract global travellers.

This new strategic partnership comes on the back of strong growth, with Philippines hotel bookings on the Group’s platforms in April 2024 more than doubling (121%), while searches for hotels in the Philippines shot up 188% in the same period.
