HP Philippines, AMD conclude CXO Summit 2024

At the event, HP also showcased its sustainability leadership by highlighting several initiatives and products. These included the spill-free ink bottles and replaceable printhead HP Smart Tank; the HP Elite Dragonfly, which is made from ocean-bound plastic; and the HP Sustainable Impact Report.

HP Philippines and AMD recently concluded the CXO Summit 2024, a gathering of top executives or CXOs (Chief Experience Officers) to share insights into sustainability, AI, and security, as well as the latest updates on cutting-edge tech products. 

Sustainability: A Win-win for the Planet and Businesses

The opening day of the summit focused on sustainability, a core value of HP that drives its business decisions and actions. Ian Reyes, Managing Director of HP Philippines, underscored the critical role of sustainability in today’s landscape. He emphasized that as the demand for sustainability grows, businesses have an imperative to evolve and innovate.

“Sustainability is not only a moral obligation, but also a business opportunity. At HP, we believe that what’s good for the planet is good for business. That’s why we are committed to creating products and services that are environmentally and socially responsible, and to empowering our customers and partners to do the same,” he said.

The sustainability speakers were Monina De Vera, Australia and New Zealand Sustainability & Compliance Manager; Cherry Pangilinan, HP Philippines Marketing Development Manager, Supplies and OPS Hardware; and Rathish Sasidharan, HP Print Category Business Lead.

AI, Security, and Hybrid Work: Keys to the Digital Age

The second day of the summit focused on AI and security. Colin Christie, who is the Executive Director of Global Chamber Manila and the Co-founder of Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP), spoke about how AI can enhance business performance, innovation, and customer satisfaction. He emphasized that the brave new AI reality is that digital transformation is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, disrupting entire industries, and creating new opportunities. This is the world we are living in today, and its changing the way we work, live, and interact with each other.

Alexey Navolokin, AMD Director in Commercial Sales, Asia Pacific Region, discussed AMD’s AI solution leadership from cloud edge to the client, and how AI is the new driver of pervasive technology benefits for the decade to come. Navolokin also spoke about AMD’s collaboration with HP and other partners to advance AI and security in the region, and to deliver powerful and secure solutions for various industries. He showcased some of the features and benefits of AMD’s products, such as the AMD Ryzen™ PRO processors, which offer high performance, reliability, and security for business users.

At the summit, Don Mallillin, HP Global Presales Consultant for APJ Personal Systems, and Niel Oliveros, HP PC and Print Pre-Sales Technical Consultant, presented HP Wolf Security for Endpoint devices, which was first introduced by HP in 2021. The solution combines hardware-enforced security, software, and services to protect PC and printer devices from cyberattacks and data breaches. It also uses AI, the cloud, and hardware-enforced security to improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation, while ensuring security and compliance.

Meanwhile, Kristoffe Abellera, Channel Business Manager at Poly, discussed how businesses can thrive in today’s hybrid work era with the right solutions. Abellera showcased how Poly’s products, such as headsets, video conferencing devices, and cloud services, can facilitate seamless collaboration and co-creation between employees, regardless of where they are located.

Empowering Tomorrow, Today

The CXO Summit 2024 wrapped up with demo sessions led by industry experts Cherry Pangilinan, Don Mallillin and Niel Oliveros. The attendees had the opportunity to witness the practical applications of the technologies discussed. 

Jose Miguel “Macky” Lim, HP Enterprise Sales Manager, thanked attendees for participating in the summit and contributing to its success. He highlighted HP’s commitment to innovative solutions and encouraged embracing challenges in AI, sustainability, and security. He also urged them to actively collaborate with HP and its partners in shaping a future marked by technological excellence and sustainable practices.
