Acer Philippines announced the official kickoff of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals which will take place in the Philippines from January 13 to 14, 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The final event will feature 26 teams from different territories across the Asia Pacific region which will be battling for the highly coveted Predator Shield.
The Asia Pacific Predator League is a platform for up-and-coming e-sports talents. Every season, thousands of teams across the region sign up for a chance to live out the dream of winning it all in the grandest stages. Since 2018, Predator has continuously provided this stage and continues to nurture and promote the e-sports industry. It was in 2020 when the league was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite challenges, the league persisted to provide e-sports talents the stage to showcase their gaming skills, and to celebrate the Asia Pacific competitive spirit. The Asia Pacific Predator League has amplified the narratives of players through various contents created throughout the league.
The format for the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals is that there will be 10 teams for DOTA 2 which will be divided into two groups. The top two teams for Group A and Group B will be moving to the main event. For VALORANT, there will be 16 teams participating, which will be divided into four groups (four teams for each group). They will be playing round robin and the top team for each group will be moving forward to the playoff at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
On the other hand, the local finals will happen on November 11 to 12, 2023 at the SM North EDSA Annex, where the top four teams will be fighting for the final two slots who will join the Asia Pacific Predator League Grand Finals to represent the Philippines.
For the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals, a prize pool of US$100,000 is at stake, and will be distributed as follows: US$65,000 for the winning team, US$20,000 for the second place winner, and US$7,500 each for the third and fourth place winners.
