There was also a 6 times uplift in the number of new Shopee Live viewers compared to an average day, highlighting Shopee’s status as one of the go-to platforms for unparalleled live shopping experiences.
Shoppers acquired fashion & beauty items at better deals
Shopee rolled out an extensive array of exclusive discounts and promotions, enticing shoppers with deals on various products, from fashion and beauty to electronics and home essentials. With stunning 70% off Shopee Live-exclusive vouchers with no minimum spend up for grabs, together with sellers, brands and partners, Shopee continued to deliver more savings and value for users, as Filipino shoppers collectively claimed over 400,000 vouchers during 9.9. Shoppers were also seen maximizing their deals on key fashion and beauty products, with the Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint and O.TWO.O Long Wear Face Foundation emerging as two of the top five items sold via Shopee Live.
Businesses achieved more traffic and a big boost to their sales
The 9.9 Super Shopping Day was not only a success for shoppers but also for sellers. Many achieved significant sales increases and added exposure to a broad audience of potential customers within the Philippines. Local sellers took advantage of the 9.9 Super Shopping Day to grow their businesses, with top local merchant, Chemiscents selling over 29,000 items via Shopee Live on 9 September alone. Brands like Infinix and Unicare also successfully engaged with viewers on Shopee Live and made over 11 million pesos and 3 million pesos respectively via a single stream on 9 September.
This year’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day has showcased Shopee’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Other than the significant increase in hours spent on Shopee Live, shoppers also enjoyed attractive discounts across various categories, with Home & Living and Health & Personal Care being the top categories across the platform. Sellers also achieved increased sales with an 8 times uplift of items sold within the first two hours of 9 September, compared to an average day.
