Caltex inks partnership with Goodyear

The Caltex StarCard is a fully adaptable card payment service. It allows holders to have complete control and convenience when it comes to fleet management. Customers can avail discount and promos on Caltex lubricant products using their Starcard at all Caltex stations across the country.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants, opened the new year with a new partner. Chevron recently signed a partnership with Goodyear Philippines Inc. to add a new benefit to the Caltex StarCard — a discount on Goodyear consumer tires.

The Caltex StarCard is a fully adaptable card payment service. It allows holders to have complete control and convenience when it comes to fleet management. Customers can avail discount and promos on Caltex lubricant products using their Starcard at all Caltex stations across the country.

As Goodyear partners with Chevron, StarCard users can now use their fleet card as a showcard to enjoy a minimum of 5 percent discount when they purchase any of Goodyear’s consumer tires that are included in the program.  The partnership will also give StarCard holders access to exclusive and additional offers by Goodyear.

“We know that fuel and tires are costly for a vehicle owner, and we want to provide our customers with more access to their fleet needs by easing up on costs. Through this partnership, we further advance Goodyear’s mission of ensuring that our clients always have a good driving experience. Caltex has been in the industry for almost a century. This is a testament to their passion and commitment to serve the community. We can think of no one better to do this partnership with, and we are very grateful to Caltex for their trust” said Mary Mel Balazo, Market Lead at Goodyear Philippines, Inc.

In its more than 100 years in the industry, Goodyear Philippines has worked hard to provide Filipinos with a better driving experience through high-quality tires. Similarly, Chevron also strives to serve the communities where it operates with quality products. CPI also collaborates with companies and organizations that share the same mission of improving the lives of Filipinos.

“The customers’ needs are changing and we must learn to evolve with them. We at Caltex prioritize addressing our customers’ needs. This is a good partnership because Goodyear is very customer-centric. With our common core values of serving our customers, working with Goodyear is really an honor for us,” said Jimmy Zuluaga, B2B manager of CPI fuels and lubricants.

“We believe that by partnering with companies that share our vision for the community, we are more able to serve customers and the country better. With closer collaboration, we can create more accessible solutions toward further improving the lives of Filipinos. We look forward to seeing this collaboration with Goodyear thrive and we are excited to see what other new services we can offer our customers through this partnership,” Zuluaga added.
