Globe to distribute streaming service Disney+ from November 17

With Globe’s reliable high-speed network and extensive coverage, subscribers of Disney+ will be able to access a vast library of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.

Globe, the country’s most reliable mobile network, is the first telecommunications operator to distribute the highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+, in the Philippines from November 17.

With Globe’s reliable high-speed network and extensive coverage, subscribers of Disney+ will be able to access a vast library of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.

“We are proud to be the first telco to distribute Disney+ to Filipino viewers who have been eagerly awaiting the streaming service to become available here,” said Globe Group President and CEO Ernest Cu.

Globe has undertaken various ventures with Disney since 2015, with both brands having their own history of storytelling that has captivated Filipinos for decades.  Globe customers have been treated to first dibs on select Disney theatrical viewings, video streaming via DisneyLife, Disney Interactive’s mobile games, and Disney Lifestyle products.

In time for the holiday season, Globe and Disney+ have a lot in store for customers who have longed to experience The Walt Disney Company’s unrivalled storytelling and the power of stories that spark hope, inspire imaginations, and energize spirits.

From iconic movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios, to heartwarming and powerful storytelling from Disney and Pixar, to blockbuster films from the thrilling worlds of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to the Star Wars films and latest series, to compelling documentaries and specials from National Geographic and the incredible collection of general entertainment series, movies, documentaries and other content under Star, there’s something for everyone on Disney+.

Subscribers of Disney+ will be able to follow quirky Mirabel as she saves Encanto. Join Thor the God of Thunder as he tackles the threat of a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder. Discover the complicated life of single lawyer, Jennifer Walters, who turns into the green superhero She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Keep your blood pumping with the pursuits of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Embark on a path that is destined to turn Cassian into a rebel hero in Andor. Catch BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA and be prepared to fall in love against all odds with the K-drama, Snowdrop.

Disney+ features over 1,800 films and 32,000 episodes, including an extensive and ever-growing collection of Disney+ Originals and beloved library titles, spanning almost a century of unforgettable storytelling.

“A good story can entertain us, but a great Disney story does so much more – it mirrors our values, strengthens our convictions, and pushes us forward to embrace each day. Globe customers can get Disney+ on an a la carte basis at P159 per month or P1,150 per year for a Mobile Plan. A Premium Plan, meanwhile, will allow streaming on four devices at P369 per month or P2,950 per year. Customers may also use their Globe Rewards points to subscribe.

Prepaid customers may also enjoy special offers by subscribing to Disney+ packages via their load credits. Postpaid customers may charge the subscription to their monthly bill and Globe Platinum customers will be able to include their chosen Disney+ subscription in their consumable allowance.
