Lazada Philippines partners with GrabExpress for launch of Same Day Delivery

With the new Same Day Delivery of Lazada and GrabExpress, what used to be the standard waiting time of 3-5 days to receive purchases is sped up to just a few hours, covering everything from groceries to party supplies and more.

Fast shopping is made even faster as eCommerce pioneer Lazada Philippines partners with GrabExpress for the launch of Same Day Delivery, available first in Metro Manila.

The team-up between the two super apps addresses the rising demand of consumers to receive their purchases almost instantly. “Faster delivery” ranks among the top shopping attributes consumers look for when shopping online, according to Lazada’s Brand Health Tracker. Two other studies showed 70% rise in search interest in ‘same day delivery’ among APAC consumers; and 41% shoppers considered ‘fast and reliable delivery and availability’ as the most important attribute in shopping online.*

“Lazada is consistently looking for ways to anticipate consumer needs to enhance the overall online shopping experience. Through this partnership with GrabExpress, same day eCommerce deliveries will further uplift the experience for our Ka-Lazadas, who increasingly favor the speed and convenience that online shopping offers,” says Allan Ancheta, Lazada Philippines’ Head of Logistics.
“While the pandemic has spurred e-commerce adoption in the Philippines, much work needs to be done to help sustain this growth, and further drive digital transformation in the country. GrabExpress is an integral part to the growth of many Filipino social sellers, and through our innovative partnership with Lazada to launch Same-Day Delivery, we are optimistic that we can expand that impact to help more MSMEs, brands, and businesses scale their businesses online. We believe in the various potentials of this partnership, and we look forward to providing a delightful and more exciting online shopping experience for everyone,” says Grab Philippines Head of Mobility EJ Dela Vega.
