Gamers can look forward to the arrival of Filipino-made PC game ‘Project Xandata’ as it is getting ready for its launch on Steam Early Access on March 22.
Project Xandata is a fast-paced, skill-based pick-up-and-play 3v3 first-person shooter developed by Secret 6, a game development studio that is based in the Philippines, San Francisco, and Madrid. This studio has worked on a number of notable AAA game franchises such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and The Witcher 3.
The game has the following key pillars: there is an even playing field where all classes have access to the same weapons without needing to earn anything; high impact 3v3 format which emphasizes the need for individual skill and team synergy across all the game modes, Xandat weapon perk system where you can pick your weapon loadout then select the perks that work for you, master the Magitech skills and abilities, and can use agile skills and fast-paced gameplay to look for the next fight.
The Project Xandata blends sci-fi and fantasy with ample customization option, diverse map, and multiple mode of play. Players can play their chosen styles and synergize with their teams to win rounds, collect shards, or eliminate opposing players.
Project Xandata throws players into XanDaigdig, a sci-fi world inspired by Filipino culture.
Become a warrior known as a Xandat and participate in an action-packed team battles rooted in movement and skill-based gameplay.
It features extensive customization system that lets players play three classes of Xandat which include the stealthy Agent, that can be invisible or create a clone to confuse their opponents, the Juggernaut brings explosions than precision attacks and come with shoulder rocket launchers and fire multiple missiles, and the Marksman which specializes in weaponry, excels at mobility and gunplay with multiple abilities.
The Project Xandata comes with five maps including Aruum Station, Site Agalon, High, Suludlan, Sundown Forge, and Wellspring Biotech. Apart from the above-mentioned features, players can also look forward to more new additions to Project Xandata.
“The game is meant to be a live service that I constantly updated with new content such as game modes, events, maps, elements, and weapon to play around with,” said Mig Sevilla, Project Xandata product manager.
Being made by Filipinos, it comes as no surprise to find local inspiration within the game. “In Project Xandata, we made an effort to build our own lore that parallels a lot of modern Philippines. From Philippine mythology to Filipino pop culture, Xandaigdig is full of references that will be instantly familiar to the Pinoy game,” said Jem Bernaldez, Project Xandata art director.
With the launch of project Xandata on March 22, 2022, a special launch event, the LFG! Project Xandata Launch Show, will kick off. Starting at 6PM (Philippine time) stream will go live at Project Xandata Official Facebook Page.
