Samsung introduced its newest lineup of GalaxyTab S8 series of tablets including Galaxy Tab S8 5G/Wi-Fi, Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G which offer improved video conferencing experience with ultra-wide front cameras, a three-microphone setup and intelligent auto-framing technology.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series also provides multi-tasking capabilities through enhanced Multi-Active Windows, and Samsung DeX safe and easy file sharing with password-protected Quick Share, and productivity with the 4nm processor and S Pen. These are packed in the device’s armor aluminum form factor for greater portability. To further enhance mobile experience, the Tab S8 series works hand-in-hand with full ecosystem of Galaxy devices with features like Second Screen and Buds Auto Switch.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G, which comes with a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate, boasts Galaxy Tab’s thinnest ever bezels at 6.3mm for a maximum screen-to-body ratio. Its display is housed in an armor aluminum body that is over 30% more scratch-resistant and 40% less prone to bending than Galaxy Tab S7.
With dual 12MP front cameras, the device transforms video call experience with professional 4K video quality. It is also equipped with Samsung’s Auto-Framing technology that automatically keeps a user focus during a call while also zooming in or out to include new participants. There are also three precision microphones that use advanced noise reduction technology to prevent unwanted background chatter. Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, found on all three Galaxy Tab S8 models, ensure that everything sounds incredible with lifelike detail and clarity.
The Galaxy Tab S8 5G/Wi-Fi, Tab S8+ 5G and Tab S8 Ultra 5G are powered by 4nm octa-core processors, the fastest processor ever in a Galaxy Tab. While Tab S8 5G/Wi-Fi and Tab S8+ 5G provide 8GB of RAM and up to 250GB of storage, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G is packed with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. All three models offer expandable storage of up to 1TB with an optional microSD card.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series is also the first Samsung tablet to support Wi-Fi 6E, and shares content in a flash with hyperfast and secure Galaxy 5G. The series is fueled by an all-day battery that supports hours of video playback when in the middle of a movie marathon, and supports 45W super-fast charging.
Both Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G and Tab S8+ 5G come with an improved S Pen that uses a prediction algorithm for ultra-low latency for a writing experience that mimics gliding a pen across paper. The Clip Studio Paint feature can turn smartphone into a digital color palette, the S Pen into a paintbrush, and Galaxy Tab S8’s screen into a canvas.
The new 4K recording capabilities of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G allows a user to capture eye-catching videos with both the rear camera and ultra-wide front camera. Using customizable Selfie Videos that are now embedded within Samsung’s Screen Recorder, content creators and streamers can capture online tutorials and gameplay effortlessly. With LumaFusion’s premier editing tool coming soon to Galaxy, users can soon be able to use Galaxy Tab S8 and S Pen to make precise edits to 4K videos.
Samsung has partnered with Google to deliver better video calling and live sharing experiences through Google Duo, so users can co-watch videos with friends on YouTube, share browser to plan next meetup or develop creative ideas using Jamboard, Google’s interactive whiteboard.
Th Galaxy Tab S8 can be turned into a portable second monitor with touchscreen capabilities for Galaxy PCs for side-by-side multitasking. Enhancements to Samsung DeX, a convenient desktop experience that takes the Galaxy Tab S8 from tablet mode to desktop mode, allows transparent app windows and DeX mirroring to share tablet’s screen on an external display.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series is protected by Samsung’s Knox Vault platform that encrypts personal data and keeps stored files and information isolated from the device’s main OS to safeguard it from attacks. The series is also supported by up to four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series is partially made of plastic components discarded from fishing nets while its packaging comes from sustainably sourced paper to lower emissions and produce less waste. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G and Tab S8+ 5G come in graphite, while Galaxy Tab S8 comes in silver and pink gold.
Starting February 9 (11 pm) until March 3, customers can pre-order the Galaxy Tab S8 Series via Samsung Online Store, while pre-order via Samsung authorized dealers, Lazada, Shopee, Abenson.com, MemoXpress.com and other authorized online partners will be from February 10 to March 3.
