Smart boosts BPI’s digital transformation efforts with promo

To help celebrate the bank’s 170th anniversary, BPI account holders will get a chance to win prizes such as P170,000-worth of Shopee credits, as well as brand new handsets, when they load their Smart and TNT prepaid phones using the BPI Mobile App. 

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has partnered with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) to bolster their digital transformation efforts with Go DigitALL promo. 

To help celebrate the bank’s 170th anniversary, BPI account holders will get a chance to win prizes such as P170,000-worth of Shopee credits, as well as brand new handsets, when they load their Smart and TNT prepaid phones using the BPI Mobile App. 

“Our partnership with Smart makes digital banking more valuable than ever. When our clients can instantly load their prepaid devices and wireless broadbands on the BPI Mobile app and stay connected, that’s important to us,” said Noel A. Santiago, BPI’s Chief Digital Officer.

“With BPI’s extensive reach and Smart’s fastest LTE and 5G networks, we hope to reach more customers and offer them the convenience of purchasing load with just a few taps on their mobile phones. We hope that through this promo, we can help make their loading experience a little more rewarding,” said Precy P. Katigbak, FVP and Head of National Key Accounts at PLDT and Smart.

Serving the most number of data users in PH

To ensure the best mobile service for Smart customers, the leading mobile and digital services provider had increased as of end-June 2021 the number of its base stations to over 68,500. Smart currently serves the biggest number of data users in the Philippines at 39.5 million. 

Supporting Smart’s mobile network is PLDT’s extensive fiber infrastructure, now at over 524,000 kilometers nationwide as of end-June 2021.

PLDT and Smart’s initiatives to provide connectivity for all is aligned with the companies’ long-standing commitment to help the Philippines attain the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG #9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
