Eastern Communications, one of the premier telecommunications companies in the Philippines, takes its first flight to the southern region of the Philippines and Mindanao’s business hub, Davao City. Eastern recently expanded its footprint in the region as part of its continued commitment to provide strong connections and empower businesses from different parts of the country.
In a virtual launch event called “Via Eastern,” Eastern Communications officially announced the availability of their world-class products and services, ranging from connectivity, data, and collaboration solutions for all Davaoeños.
Dr. Maria Lourdes Monteverde, President of Davao Chamber, welcomed Eastern Communications and said, “The entry of Eastern Communications provides a boost to the business sector since with this pandemic, one’s business relies heavily on the digital platforms.”
With Davao City as the seat of business and commerce in Mindanao, the expansion is positioned to help Davao-based businesses thrive amid the pandemic though Eastern Communications’ High Tech and High Touch services.
“Technology has become an essential and indispensable part of our lives. It has modernized the way we do things and made processes and systems more efficient, producing results at a faster rate and saving organizations’ valuable resources,” shared Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte during the Via Eastern event.
“With the expansion of Eastern Communications here in Davao City, Davaoeños will now be able to avail of [their] digital solutions and seamless connections and communication tools to improve the way we serve the public especially in this time of pandemic. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing how Eastern Communications can bring Mindanao to greater heights,” she added.
Eastern Communications’ expansion in Davao marks the beginning of the telecommunication’s support for the enrichment of local businesses. The company is focused on forming meaningful collaborations that champion digital transformation among Davaoeños.
“In the face of continuing headwinds brought about the pandemic, our entry into the city of Davao marks an exciting chapter in the history of Eastern Communications. We are humbled to have been given the opportunity to introduce our products and services and honored to take part in the enablement of digitization of businesses and contribute to the development in the province. We are looking forward to introducing our strong connection among Davaoeños and to expanding our presence to more cities across the Philippines,” said Eastern Communications’ Co-Coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio.
Furthermore, Eastern Communications supports the Davao Investment Conference (Davao ICon) 2021, bringing together industry experts to discuss business, investment, and tourism opportunities in the Davao Region. This participation is anchored on the company’s desire to strengthen internet connectivity in the area, to encourage investments and spur economic activity.
“It has always been the plan of Eastern Communications to expand in various locations and we are very proud to finally be part of Davao. We hope that by expanding in the south, we are able to help businesses reach stronger connections to be able to stride forward,” shared by Eastern Communications’ Co-Coordinator Hermi Hizon.
