Under this partnership, PLDT and Orange are working together to ensure that Filipinos overseas and enterprise customers enjoy superior quality calls to the Philippines.

In 2020, PLDT and Orange worked on implementing multi-layer security and anti-fraud solutions to increase the quality and security of calls alongside the broader regional coverage for traffic collection and aggregation.

“We are happy that our partnership with Orange will continue for another year. This collaboration is part of PLDT Group’s broader program to deliver the best experience for our customers both here in the Philippines and overseas,” said Katrina Luna-Abelarde, FVP and Head of PLDT-Smart International and Carrier Business and Strategic Partnerships.

“Our voice partnership results with PLDT in the last 12 months are very positive despite the very volatile market conditions that prevailed in 2020 with the pandemic impact on international communications. The model we put in place with PLDT proved its strong efficiency to provide quality to Filipinos as well as reinforce resilience for international voice value. I am very happy that this partnership will continue for a second year.” said Emmanuel Rochas, Chief Executive Officer of International Carriers at Orange.

Orange has a global business service presence and is a retail operator in 26 countries. It is an established leader in the provision of worldwide roaming services to operators, with a proven and trusted ability to manage complex wholesale projects in the fields of roaming, voice, and data services.

This partnership initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, which is PLDT’s focus program on sustainability of connecting everyone, everywhere.
