NetEvents announced its new NetEvents Inter@ctive service, enabling many of its live event formats to now go online – including CIO round-tables, international media briefings, industry debates and head-to-heads, visionary and futurist sessions, plus its popular “Shark Tank” format bringing together Tech VCs and entrepreneurs.
In addition to programmed NetEvents Live! events, this more frequent on-line coverage will generate even more immediate content and discussion for the media, plus further promotional opportunities for business clients.
Just as the original NetEvents format was developed by consulting the media on what they most needed from a live press event, NetEvents Inter@ctive has been designed to optimize media preferences and integrate collaboration with industry partners – providing an enhanced broadcast platform incorporating value-added features. These include: an automated transcription service and real-time sub-title captioning – a boon for press where English is not the native language. Plans are to include real-time translation and foreign language sub-title captioning, and instant messaging – a service that NetEvents has already provided at previous live APAC events.
“For more than 20 years NetEvents has made its name as the meeting place for technology leaders” explains Mark Fox, NetEvents CEO. “Our NetEvents Live! annual Global Press Summits and regional Media Spotlights bring the tech industry, media, analysts and investors together in one place, offering a comfortable, focused environment ideal for sharing, networking and building sustainable business relationships. Around these events, we have been steadily building an extensive global industry/media communications network incorporating podcasts, videos, webinars and written content. NetEvents Inter@ctive leverages this evolving business, media and tech sector ecosystem to create an innovative platform to enable these parties to conduct business, briefings and events on-line.”
The NetEvents Inter@ctive format consists of a 1 hour “virtual round table” discussion followed by interactive media Q&A. The format has been created in collaboration with the company’s extensive global network of top-ranking tech media and analyst partners. Its unique feature is that each discussion, on a hot tech or business topic of the day, will initially only be streamed to a select group of interested and relevant media companies, together with their chosen VIP readers, who can interact with questions. Following the Premier Media Partners exclusive access to these discussions and all related content, the recorded content is later made available on general release and through our digital channels our “NetEvents wired” community as podcasts, webcasts, video features etc.
“It’s a great format” according to Neil Ledger, Group Director at Exclusive Networks. “I have already made valuable connections across the NetEvents network. These virtual events are the future!”
NetEvents Inter@ctive will go live on 3 June 2020 with What’s Hot in Networking – with top execs from the networking industry PLUS an online retrospective and analyst view of Day One of Cisco Live. This, the first of a regular series on technology and business issues of the moment, will be followed by: SD-WAN Growth in 2020 on 9 June; Trends in Cloud-Native Networking on 16 June; a CIO Round-Table: Business Continuity and Collaboration on 23 June. Further topics include 5G Developments in the New Cloud Edge including Cloud security services and SASE, Better Network Automation with ML, AI & Analytics PLUS a series of cybersecurity sessions including Key Security Challenges for the Enterprise.
Fox explains: “We will provide our media partners with exciting and topical content from the industry’s leading technologists, visionaries, buyers, business angels and investors. We then allow them prior rights to ‘build the buzz’ around the topic, before it is widely released for maximum global coverage. Together with our media partners we have built an audience of over three million C-Level and senior IT executives, IT professionals, buyers and gatekeepers across every continent.”
The intention is to continue planned NetEvents Live! events with the next Global IT Summit, San Jose, California in October – if the coronavirus situation permits. Otherwise to re-program when travel restrictions are eased.
