The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is waiving all penalties for the late registration of motor vehicles and the late renewal of driver’s licenses that are set to expire during the ongoing community quarantine.
If the expiry date on your license or registration falls anywhere from March 13 to April 12, 2020, then you are covered by this announcement.
The agency is also extending the validity of all student-driver permits for the duration of the quarantine, so permit holders may still apply for a driver’s license afterwards. On the other hand, Temporary Operator’s Permits that expired on March 13 can also be settled without penalties.
