AMD launched in the Philippines its third-generation Ryzen desktop processors that use the graphics architecture of AMD Radeon RX 5700 series as well as Radeon Graphics-based Ryzen 3000 Series processors designed for users or gamers who are looking for high performance processors and graphics cards.
These devices are based on the 7nm (nanometer) processor technology that uses the Zen 2 architecture to boost performance of processors through higher clock speeds, and enhances cache memory size while reducing power consumption.
According to Sonny Sy, country sales manager at AMD Philippines, the Zen 2 architecture boasts as much as 3.5 times bigger cache memory which enables faster performance or gaming and two times more bandwidth, and provides more efficiency in terms of energy consumption.
Sy said with a physical processor core count of up to 12, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X is expected to have a much bigger cache memory size to perform as much as nine percent faster and up to 59% faster applications while having 58% more power efficient which means less energy consumption.
The AMD Ryzen 7 3800X expects to have as much as five percent faster gaming, 37% faster applications, and 58% more power efficient. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, on the other hand, will perform as much as nine percent faster, have 47% faster applications, and 22% more power efficient.
Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 5700 series GPU is powered by the next-generation RDNA architecture. It is designed for 1440p performance, power efficiency for gaming, and equipped with 8GB high-speed memory and PCI Express 4.0 support which allows up to 69% faster graphics, and up to 42% faster SSD to enhance storage performance.
The Radeon RX 5700 series offers features including Raden Image Sharpening that provides crispness and clarity to in-game visuals; FidelityFX, an open source toolkit with high-quality post-process effects; and Radeon Anti-Lag which reduces input-to-display response times to give eSports games a competitive edge. The Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 edition also provides support for Radeon RX 5700 series and other Radeon graphics cards.
Now available, prices of Radeon RX 5700 and 5700XT start at Php20,873 and Php 24,461 (inclusive of 12% tax), respectively. For AMD 3Gen Ryzen processors, prices start at Php5,900 (3200G); Php9,275 (3400G); Php12,250 (3600); Php15,200 (3600X); Php20,500 (3700X); Php24,400 (3800X); and Php31,000 (3900X). These prices are inclusive of 12% tax.
