What do Accton, Apacer, AVer, ICP DAS, and IEI Integration have in common? They are Taiwanese firms which participated in the Taiwan Excellence campaign in the Philippines to showcase their products that leverage on the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
Having products and services that help users connect their devices anywhere, these Taiwanese IoT solutions providers promote IoT adoption and benefits in the event which highlights Taiwanese expertise and latest IoT innovative products that can help meet the needs of Filipino consumers.
Through Taiwan Excellence, these companies share their smart IoT solutions and expertise applicable to small, medium and large businesses such as networking, cloud data systems and communication solutions produced by Accton Technology Corporation; data storage, industrial SSDs and other memory modules created by Apacer Technology, Inc.; smart tools for education and lecture capsule network for intuitive and sustainable learning developed by Aver Information; industrial automation, energy management and smart cities by ICP DAS; and computer-based applications for automation, computer telephony integration, networking appliances, and security systems by IEI Integration Corporation.
Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Taiwan Excellence is a venue to promote a wide range of innovative products and services offered by these IoT solutions providers.
In an interview with Don Yu, senior product vice president at IEI Integration Corporation, he shared that participation in Taiwan Excellence campaign helps their company gain a lot through product and brand awareness not only in the Philippines but also to global customers.
“We have introduced ourselves to key and important customers in the Philippines. We also have different matchmaking with global customers. This is a very good event to have our products demonstrated to Filipino customers,” said Yu.
Yu also noted that from among products they produce, he pointed out that their cameras with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications will have the potential to grow in the Philippine market.
“The AI application especially in our CCTV camera has high demand in the local market. We thought of bringing more cameras with AI element which provides more efficiency in service,” Yu said.
Yu further said they are now leveraging on the IoT with special focus on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and AI technologies to improve their solutions.
