Epson EcoTank voted most reliable over other ink tank brands

Multi-brand dealers ranked Epson as the number one ink tank printer brand with an 89% reliability rating versus 3 other competitive brands. The research also revealed that respondents have strong satisfaction and preference for Epson over other printer brands.

Epson was named the most reliable ink tank printer brand among multi-brand dealers in the Philippines, according to a 2019 Kantar Philippines Ink Tank Printer Reliability study.

In the study, market research agency Kantar Philippines invited decision makers and influencers from multi-brand dealers across the country to assess leading ink tank printer brands in terms of their reliability and performance.

Multi-brand dealers ranked Epson as the number one ink tank printer brand with an 89% reliability rating versus 3 other competitive brands. The research also revealed that respondents have strong satisfaction and preference for Epson over other printer brands.

Respondents indicated that Epson’s compact, innovative ink tank printer line, the EcoTank, has exceptional print quality, durability, and excellent after-sales support which drive preference for Epson. Furthermore, according to Kantar Philippines, the research results prove the brand’s capability of answering the growing printing demands at home or in the office and reassure customers in buying Epson products.

The EcoTank printers were developed with a streamlined design in a more compact size which makes it perfect for SMEs and the home office segment,” said Eduardo Bonoan, general manager, Marketing Division for Epson Philippines. “The EcoTank printers can offer a better alternative to laser printers with the immense advantage it brings in terms of lowering overall total cost of ownership, savings in energy consumption and improved impact to the environment.”

Separately, a 2018 IDC Quarterly Trackers report showed that Epson has maintained its overall dominance in the Philippine inkjet printer market for four straight years with a strong 54% share in 2018, reflecting that 1 out of 2 inkjet printers sold in the Philippines is an Epson printer.
