Digital imaging solutions provider Canon unveiled a lineup of new products including the EOS 200D II digital camera; INSPIC instant cameras; and PIXMA Ink Efficient G series printers at the Canon Experience 2019 Lifestyle and Business Expo held at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall.
Canon EOS 200D II
Heading the list of products launched is Canon EOS 200D II, the world’s lightest digital SLR camera that comes with an APS-C size imaging sensor and a Vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor. Available in black and silver, the camera weighs 449g.
Powered by Canon’s latest DIGIC 8 imaging processor that allows for 4K video recording, the EOS 200D II serves as the ultimate content creator camera for beginners and mobile phone upgraders looking for an entry level DSLR with advanced features. It is also equipped with a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, a wide ISO range of 100 to 25,600 (expandable to 51,200) and minimum AF luminance of EV-4, made possible with Dual Pixel AF technology.
The camera also comes with an Auto Lighting Optimizer that easily captures gradations of colors, and a continuous shooting rate of up to 5 FPS to track fast-moving subjects. The gadget’s Movie Digital IS function makes every footage remains sharp even in dim environment, while the 4K Time Lapse feature makes recording time-lapse videos uncomplicated.
Available at Canon’s authorized dealers nationwide, the EOS 200D II camera is sold at PhP41,998. It comes with a free camera bag and additional two-year warranty when enrolled via the Canon Red app.
INSPIC Instant Cameras
Apart from EOS 200D II digital camera, Canon also launched two pocket-sized instant camera printers, INSPIC [S] and INSPIC [C], combined with a compact mini printer that has digital camera capability.
In an ultra-slim form factor, the INSPIC [S] is equipped with an eight-megapixel fixed focus camera that enables users to shoot and print instantly from just one device without the need for a separate camera and printer. Its built-in LED ring light circles the camera lens and activates a fill light for beautiful portrait shots. Packed with a micro SD slot to support card capabilities of up to 256GB, the camera is now available at a price of PhP9,900.
The INSPIC [C], on the other hand, sports a five-megapixel camera and a selfie mirror next to the camera lens for easy selfie-shooting, and a one-touch reprint buttons for photo printing. Available in bubble gum pink, bumble bee yellow, and seaside blue, the camera is priced at PhP7,900.
INSPIC instant cameras use ZINK Zero Ink technology from ZINK, a dry-printing technology that enables printing in color without the use of ink cartridges. Using the Canon Mini Print mobile app, users may easily print photos stored on smartphones or photo albums in social networking accounts.
PIXMA Ink Efficient G Series Printers
Aside from cameras, Canon also launched three new PIXMA Ink Efficient G series refillable ink tank system printers designed to boost productivity for small businesses and offices. These include the G6070 All-in-One (AIO) which is a multifunction printer that can take scanning and copying jobs even while printing; the G5070 or a dedicated workhorse without scan or copy features, and Monochrome GM2070 or a printer that is fueled by a single refillable black ink tank, and accepts conventional color ink cartridge for occasional and small job prints.
The PIXMA Ink Efficient G printers have an integrated refillable ink tank design that combines a small footprint with automatic two-sided printing, large paper feeding capacity, and full network capability. Users of these printers can assess the level of remaining ink visually through its front-facing ink tanks that have see-through windows.
The Ink Efficient G series printers can be used anywhere and deliver high volume printing of up to 8,300 pages of black and white and 7,700 pages of colored documents on a bundled set of four ink bottles. These printers support printing of borderless images on glossy papers up to A4 sizes.
These printers feature front cassette and rear tray feeding options. Users can load ID card-sized papers, envelopes, and glossy papers in the rear tray, and pack the 250-sheet front cassette with A4 plain office papers for document printing. A monitoring window is found on the front cassette so papers can be readied when paper is running out. For very large print jobs, both feeding options can be deployed so users can enjoy up to 350 sheets of uninterrupted printing.
These printers support Wired LAN and Wireless LAN so they can be placed anywhere in the office; and Wireless Direct which allows for direct communication and printing from smartphones without the need for a wireless router.
The PIXMA Ink Efficient G printers are now available with the following prices: PIXMA G6070 – PhP16,990; PIXMA G5070 – PhP11,990; and PIXMA GM2070 – PhP9,690.
