The emergence of disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Internet of Things (IoT) is driving the transformation of supply chain in the Philippines to better serve industries and deliver seamless customer experience as well.
These technology disruptions are actually coming in to transform the market and enable new business models in the Philippines and also across the region, according to Martin Dube, group vice president, Asia Pacific Sales at JDA Software.
“From this view of disruptions, there will be about 45% of incumbents in industries that are actually going to be disrupted in five years, and the course of disruption is basically in manufacturing, retail and transport,” said Dube.
According to a supply chain regional survey, only six percent of 623 supply chain professionals across 17 countries think they have achieved supply chain visibility. More importantly, 70% of respondents described their supply chain these days as either very or extremely complex.
Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies which were implemented in the supply chain can enable firms to increase competitive edge, help achieve higher supply chain efficiency, and provide visibility.
Using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-powered platform, retailers can arrive at a decision based on predictions about customer buying behaviors and allow them to be more competitive. These new pervasive technologies can disrupt not just the retail industry but other industries as well.
To get rid of challenges and help companies in their digital disruptions, JDA Software will enable them in their digital transformation journey and accelerate their way forward to run an autonomous supply chain that is agile, adaptive and self-learning using the transformative power of advanced technologies. With JDA supply chain management platform, customers can predict and shape demand, transform product delivery, and fulfill intelligently, helping companies to improve their operations.
