Lenovo announced the “Smarter Technology for All” scholarship in collaboration with UK-based non-profit, One Young World.

Funded by the Lenovo Foundation, the scholarship is open to applicants between the ages of 18 and 30 who demonstrate significant leadership, measurable impact, and proven influence in their community to increasing access to STEM education and technology to underserved groups. Similarly, individuals leveraging technology to tangibly impact their community, country, or world through one of the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals will also be considered for selection.

“We are so excited to work with One Young World and be able to sponsor this opportunity,” said Yolanda Lee Conyers, President of the Lenovo Foundation. “These young scholars and innovators are tackling some of the world’s most serious challenges. Applications for the scholarship are now open to eligible candidates through May 20, 2019. The scholarship recipient will be chosen later this summer, with a winner to be announced by Lenovo and One Young World on July 1, 2019.
