Bambuhay named as country’s first-ever Startupper of the Year

Total (Philippines) Corporation named Mark Gersava, chief executive farmer of social enterprise Bambuhay, as the country’s first-ever Startupper of the Year.

Total (Philippines) Corporation named Mark Gersava, chief executive farmer of social enterprise Bambuhay, as the country’s first-ever Startupper of the Year.

Coming in second is Antipara Exploration Inc. Co-Founder Aaron Hilomen, who also received the Startup for Better Energy Award. UPROOT Team Lead Robi Del Rosario placed third while Shift School Armchair designer Cecilia Comia was named Top Female Entrepreneur.

The winners will receive financial support of up to P 750,000.00 for the first prize, personalized support and coaching from Impact Hub, and a communications campaign to publicize their project from Total Philippines.

The 2018-2019 Startupper of the Year by Total Challenge reaffirms Total’s commitment to social and economic development in host countries worldwide.
