Acer Philippines launched its new addition to the Acer Nitro 5 gaming series: the first Intel Optane-powered laptop in the Philippines which received a speed boost from the Intel Optane Technology.
Intel Optane technology is a smart memory that accelerates computer’s access to frequently used documents, pictures, videos and application files and remembers them even the power is off.
Housed in a black and red form factor, this gaming device is not a thin and light solution as it weighs 5.95-pound and measures 15.35×10.47×10.5-inch. However, it offers a generous range of ports to connect to other devices such as USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, power jack, SD card slot, Kensington lock slot.
The Acer Nitro 5 is powered by 8th Generation Intel Core processor and runs Windows 10 operating system. The device comes with up to 32GB of DDR memory, and up to 512GB of NVMe PCIe solid-state storage which provides plenty of space for apps and games while enabling ultra-fast booth up times. It is also equipped with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics which allows for an immersive graphic experience with faster rendering, finer textures, and better lighting.
For more efficient gaming sessions, the Nitro 5 is packed with Acer’s NitroSense utility that monitors the status of the CPU/GPU, while the CoolBoost Technology adjusts the fans for better performance. With quality-performance audio as an essential component for gaming, the device has Acer’s TrueHarmony and Dolby Audio Premium to ensure the finely-tuned speakers pick up on any would-be attackers entering the scene.
Apart from these, this Optane-powered gaming laptop features Intel Wireless-AC9560 2×2 802.11ac wireless which offers Gigabit performance that can enhance gaming, streaming, and conferencing experiences.
Other components of Nitro 5 include the 15.6-inch Full High Definition (FHD) IPS display with 1920×1080 resolution that allows for the production of bright images; the keyboard with red backlight keys, the trackpad and HD Web camera.
The Acer Nitro 5 Intel Optane-powered laptops are now available starting at Php59,999 for Core i5 and Php69,999 for Core i7.
