Samsung’s newest flagship smartphone from the Galaxy Note Series, the Galaxy Note 9, was officially revealed on August 9 at the Barclays Center in New York City, and it came with a brand new S Pen.
Now powered with Bluetooth, the Connected S Pen enables wireless control over the Galaxy Note9 within a 10-meter radius. One can present business pitches, activate applications, and browse through photos with just a few clicks. The functions can also be customized depending on the user’s needs.
The Connected S Pen pairs instantly with its Galaxy Note 9 counterpart, eliminating the need to switch Bluetooth on and off. It lasts for around 200 clicks or 30 minutes of continued usage. It also automatically charges once placed inside the device, requiring only 40 seconds to reach full power.
Setting a new standard
The Galaxy Note 9 sets a new standard. It is the first smartphone to start with a base capacity of 128GB, and it also comes with a 512GB variant. Both support expandable memory and utilize Samsung Knox, the company’s mobile security platform, to keep important documents and large files secure anytime, anywhere.
The Galaxy Note 9 also showcases an upgraded battery life—a 4,000 mAh battery which lasts for up to 24 hours on standby. It also supports fast and wireless charging.
With a 10 nanometer Application Processor, the Galaxy Note 9 offers seamless performance while reducing battery consumption. Users can experience faster loading and transition times within multiple applications.
Intelligent dual camera
Samsung’s most advanced smartphone camera returns with more ingenious features. The Dual Aperture Camera continues to impress with its ability to take gorgeous low-light photos, thanks to its F1.5 and F2.4 lens aperture. The intelligent camera of the Galaxy Note9 outsmarts the human eye by capturing Super Slow-Mo videos at 960 frames per second, which is four times slower than normal slow motion.
Now equipped with Real Time Intelligence, the camera can provide more information about objects in its field of vision. With Auto Scene Recognition, it can detect up to twenty unique scenes and automatically optimize the photo, depending on the conditions. It can also report flaws, allowing users to snap professional-looking shots.
Standout features made more noteworthy
With the biggest screen among all Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy Note 9 provides the best viewing experience with its 6.4” Super AMOLED Infinity Display. The device also sports a sleek square design with diamond cuts at the edges. Available in Ocean Blue with a Pearl Yellow S Pen (128GB & 512GB), Midnight Black, (128GB), and Metallic Copper (128GB), the Galaxy Note9 champions sophisticated and elegant design.
With stereo speakers tuned by AKG and powered by Dolby Atmos, the Galaxy Note9 provides superb and surround-sound experiences. Coupled with its immersive display, the smartphone delivers cinematic entertainment on-the-go.
