Kaspersky Lab appoints new GM for SEAsia

Global cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab has announced the appointment of Yeo Siang Tiong as its new GM for the Southeast Asia (SEA) region covering Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. He joined the company’s SEA leadership team on February 21.

Global cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab has announced the appointment of Yeo Siang Tiong as its new GM for the Southeast Asia (SEA) region covering Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. He joined the company’s SEA leadership team on February 21.

As he takes up the leadership role over the company’s business in SEA, Yeo will be responsible for further implementing the company’s strategic business vision for the region’s SMB and enterprise markets and accelerating the growth of the Kaspersky Lab’s industrial cybersecurity solutions and services across various sectors in all of six SEA countries.

Yeo will report directly to Stephan Neumeier, managing director of Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific.

Yeo is a veteran sales and channel professional with over 20 years of experience across the information & communication technology sector in Southeast Asia and the APAC market.

During his 25-year career, he has brought his leadership to various roles spanning strategy, business development, channel sales and development, direct sales and technical positions in Singapore and across Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Kaspersky Lab, Yeo was the SMB and Channel Sales Director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Singapore. He was responsible for building the channel ecosystems, and the sales into the mid-market and SMB enterprise market segment in the citystate.

“In 2017, Kaspersky Lab achieved a 12% growth year-on-year in the region. This year, we’re looking to excel even further and I’m confident that with Yeo at the helm, we will be able to sustain our growth in Southeast Asia, one of the most important regions in APAC,” says Neumeier, managing director, Kaspersky Lab APAC.

In a previous role, Yeo led the coverage of strategic accounts in the financial and defense &  homeland security sectors in Singapore. He also contributed to the Singapore Infocomm Development Authority’s 5th Infocomm Technology Roadmap. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Manchester University and an Electronics Engineering degree from the University of Singapore.

Yeo replaces Sylvia Ng, who helped steer the growth of the B2B and enterprise segments of the SEA region for over two years. Sylvia has left the company to pursue other endeavors outside Kaspersky Lab.
