Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation launched its first smartphone offering in 2018, the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+. Packed with features that lead Samsung’s line of user favorites, this phone sports a dual front camera, infinity display, IP68 water and dust resistance, and ergonomic design that draws on Samsung’s flagship design heritage and experience.
The Galaxy A8 and A8+ features Samsung’s very first Dual Front Camera with Live Focus. Moreover, this 16MP+8MP F1.9 camera sports two separate lenses that can accommodate portrait shots. It also allows one to capture and create high-quality images with its adjustable bokeh effect made possible by the Live Focus feature with Adjustable Blur.
It has 16 MP F1.7 rear camera. The Galaxy A8 and A8+ gives one the full experience with its Infinity Display equipped with an immersive 18:5:9 display ratio – a first for the A-series – to ensure an awesome and cinematic viewing experience.
The Galaxy A8 and A8+ has expandable memory up to 256GB, as well as its Face Recognition feature gives access to the phone in a jiffy. But another feature that users will love is the Galaxy A8 and A8+’s Bixby Interface that helps complete tasks, learns various routines, and remembers stuff on to-do list.
The Galaxy A8 and A8+ sports an IP68 water and dust resistance feature that can withstand the elements, – including sweat, rain, sand and dust. The phone can be submersed in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.

The Galaxy A8 and A8+, which comes in Gold and Black and has a suggested retail price of P26,990.00 and P32,990.00, respectively, will be available on January 27.
