Acer Philippines, in collaboration with semiconductor assembler AMD, unveiled the Acer GX-281, the first pre-assembled CPU in the country powered by AMD’s next-generation Ryzen 7 processor.
Sporting an armor-shaped housing with red LED lights, the Acer GX-281 provides data transfer, storage and expansion capabilities, 4k resolution visuals, and Qi standard wireless charging.
Powered by AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, the performance of Acer GX-281 will be raised further with the following features: eight CPU cores, 16 threads, a 3.4GHz base clock speed that may be extended to 3.8GHz, and an Extended Frequency Range (XFR) for better performance and processor cooling.
Addressing the processing needs of the market, the Ryzen 7, having eight cores each with Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), boasts a 52% improvement in instructions per clock versus AMD’s previous best, which allows processing more clock for clock. For single-threaded performance, PC users such as gamers and content creators will enjoy Ryzen 7’s processing ability as well as its affordability.
According to Peter Chambers, director of customer sales for APJ at AMD, the Ryzen 7 has grown a reputation among gamers and content creators worldwide for its processing power and affordability. “We’ve always been committed to innovating solutions to meet our customer’s needs, which we share with Acer Philippines in the launch of this new product,” he said.
Ryzen 7 is also equipped with Sense MI, which lets the processor to monitor itself within a milliamp, millivolt, milliwatt, and even a single-degree Celsius, which is used by Precision Boost to pinpoint its ideal clock frequency. Besides, the processor’s multiple cores and threads provide seamless gaming and streaming experience.
