Canon Marketing Philippines (CMPI) partnered with Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines, as both eye to become the first fully-digitized media and communications agency in the country.
According to a recent report by AdMedia Partners, actual deals made among marketing service companies increased in 2016 to 14% from 3% the previous year. Experts forecast that the trend will continue to grow with brands and marketers seeking companies that offer a more diverse set of services, such as big data analytics, design/user experience, and social media marketing outside the big players in the “traditional” industry.
For Dentsu Aegis Network, “as one of the fastest growing communications company and network globally, Dentsu Aegis Network continuously pursues mergers and acquisitions. Over the last few years in Philippines, we have successfully added more brands to our network. However, as with all large-scale acquisitions, they come with its challenges, especially integrating systems – such as printing systems – and operations for a number of entities,” said Patrick Geronimo, country IT manager at Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines.
Operational issues in terms of computer systems and operations are not unusual for businesses that commonly implement mergers and acquisitions. Information technology processes often differ from one organization to another, making it more difficult to formulate a streamlined and integrated work flow.
“It was the glaring issue for all of us, especially the IT unit. We had to come up with an effective means that will assure the entire Dentsu Aegis Network of a consolidated and well-executed computer system. At the same time, it has to be flexible and user-friendly enough to fit into the distinct needs of each brand,” Geronimo said.
In order to address such issues, Dentsu Aegis Network management decided to utilize uniFLOW Output Management. Developed and distributed by Canon Business Imaging Solutions, uniFLOW is an integrated system for printing designed to provide organizations of varying sizes, needs and budget profiles the capacity to effectively manage workflow and printing costs. The solution comes with printers and multifunction devices that can be operated via proximity cards like RFIDs (Radio-Frequency Identification) and even mobile devices. Canon with uniFLOW delivers the promise of an end-to-end support that includes training briefs and full programs for new users.
On track for being fully digitized by the year 2020, Dentsu Aegis Network is set to initiate the next phase in carrying out a formal employee training in the use of promixity cards this year. The agency’s machine lineup was also increased with additional nine multifunction devices deployed. Canon offers a suite of business solutions that help businesses or organizations save on operational costs, optimize business processes, and provide utmost quality customer service.
