Suzuki makes it a “double” at the CAGI Awards 2016

Accolades continue to pour in for automotive company Suzuki Philippines this year as it recently bagged a “double” at the prestigious Car Awards Group, Inc (CAGI) Gala Awards Night held at the One Rockwell East Tower in Makati City on November 22, 2016.

Suzuki Philippines’ all-new Super Carry Utility Van won as 2016 Car of the Year for the Commercial Utility Vehicle (CUV) Category while the Suzuki Ciaz 1.4 bagged the 2016 Car of the Year award under the Subcompact Category.

As the first diesel engine model Suzuki introduced to cater to the Philippine market, the all-new Super Carry exudes uncompromised strength, high quality performance and superior loading capacity. Along with the pressing issues the country is currently experiencing, Suzuki’s first entry to the utility commercial vehicle segment is equipped with a Euro-4 diesel engine – enabling the vehicle to address the growing needs of the micro, small and medium enterprises in a manner that truly cares for the environment.

Suzuki Ciaz 1.4, meanwhile, is not all about being snazzy and glitzy. It thrives on best-in-class performance and fuel efficiency, while providing unmatched comfort and roomy interiors for passengers, easy maneuverability, and robust luggage capacity rarely found in other sub-compact sedans in the market.

Suzuki Philippines (SPH) General Manager for Automobile Shuzo Hoshikura, delightfully enthused, “Suzuki Philippines is once again thankful and humbled by this recent accolade, which serves as a testament to our relentless passion in producing top-quality vehicles that cater to the needs of the automotive and commercial markets. We are grateful to our loyal customers, and the trust they have generously bestowed on us will continue to motivate us to develop better and more reliable vehicles in the coming years.”

Established in 2004, CAGI members are composed of the tri-media from broadsheet, magazines, radio, TV and from the web. The group recognizes winners of the year through independent and comprehensive testing with qualitative and quantitative criteria. Vehicles are being reviewed based on all vehicle attributes, including safety features, competitive price and appearance.
